Genetic engineering and cell selection for enhancing of crops osmotolerance

Epigenetic aspects of plant gene expression regulation under osmotic stress are discussed. The results of investigations in Department of Genetic Engineering of Institute of Plant Physiology and Genetics of NAS of Ukraine for obtaining plant forms via using dsRNA suppressor of proline dehydrogenase gene, and of cell selection for obtaining genetically modified plant forms are presented.
